Clear Quartz
Crystals with a milk base that gain more clarity as they reach the terminated point symbolize our path from being in a cloudy and dull state of consciousness as we progress to a higher, clearer state of consciousness.
Clear quartz helps to give a clear picture to those that are confused and need direction in life. When worn, it works as a mental energizer that protects the aura and amplifies the person’s energy field. The clear white light they vibrate, contains all the colors of the spectrum and so brings a stimulating vibration and re-energizes and uplifts.
Clear quartz is also closely linked to the moon. Their energies peak at full moon and slowly fade until the new moon. Clear Quartz cancels the harmful effects of radiation and is good for vertigo, skin, digestive, kidney and bladder disorder.
ABOUT QUARTZ
Quartz is the most common mineral in the continental crust, and the one with the simplest chemical formula: silicon dioxide or SiO2. Quartz is so common in crustal rocks that it's more notable when quartz is missing than when it's present. Quartz is an old German word that originally meant something like hard or tough.
Special Quartz Varieties
The pretty crystals and vivid colors you'll see in jewelry and in rock shops are scarce. Here are some of those precious varieties:
Clear, colorless quartz is called rock crystal.
Translucent white quartz is called milky quartz.
Milky pink quartz is called rose quartz. Its color is thought to be due to various impurities (titanium, iron, manganese) or microscopic inclusions of other minerals.
Purple quartz is called amethyst. Its color is due to "holes" of missing electrons in the crystal in combination with iron impurities.
Yellow quartz is called citrine. Its color is due to iron impurities.
Green quartz is called prasiolite. Iron impurities account for its color, too.
Gray quartz is called smoky quartz. Its color is due to "holes" of missing electrons in combination with aluminum impurities.
Brown smoky quartz is called cairngorm and black smoky quartz is called morion.
The Herkimer diamond is a form of natural quartz crystal with two pointed ends.
Quartz also occurs in a microcrystalline form called chalcedony. Together, both minerals are also referred to as silica.

Where Does It Come From
Deposits have been found in Madagascar, India, Japan and Brazil ... as well as in South Africa and South Dakota in the USA.

It may be translucent or transparent, although most pieces are fairly opaque. It is less often available as crystals... but is more commonly available in the massive form. All types have excellent healing qualities.
